Word Study/Grammar: We wrapped up our adjective study and will move on to quotations and using dialogue in fictional stories. We are learning the rules of how and when to use commas, capital letters, and quotations when writing dialogue in text. There is so much to remember! Students are receiving cycle 6 words today (Wednesday). This cycle focuses on vowel teams-ai, ay, oa, oe. Homework is due Thursday, November 21. The test will be Friday, November 22. Student who missed 1 or 0 on the pre-test will receive a set of vocabulary words to focus on for the week. They have 8 words to learn and an activity that will be due on Friday, November 22. They are not tested on these words, but will complete an activity to see how well they understand the words. All students have access to these vocabulary words when they finish their work.
